The Sindh Rangers recovered two abducted foreigners and arrested three kidnappers in an operation at Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area on Saturday.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary raided a bungalow in Khayaban-e-Muhafiz of DHA and rescued two foreigners, identified as Mosus Josef and Franc Agyok of Tanzania and Nigeria respectively.
The Rangers also claimed to have arrested three abductors namely Waseem Baloch, Naeem Rabbani and Fahad Shabbir. It said that one SMG along with magazine, one bulletproof jacket and 19 bullets were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
The spokesperson said that accused Waseem revealed in an initial probe that he was a drug peddler and used to supply drugs abroad. He had been living in Karachi since 2014 in his partner Sabir Baloch’s bungalow.
The paramilitary force said that Naeem and Fahad were also involved in drug peddling. Three suspects were handed over to the police for further investigation, while the foreigners were also handed over to police under the Foreign Act as they did not have travel documents.
