ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Thursday reacted to Nawaz Sharif’s ineligibility to head PML-N after the Supreme Court’s decision which stated that a person disqualified under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution of Pakistan cannot head a party. The leaders were hopeful for public’s support for Nawaz Sharif and a winning sentiment for the upcoming general elections.

Pervez Rashid stated that the public will never accept engineered election and controlled democracy.

“Public has not accepted any verdict against Nawaz Sharif. Only that person will lead the party who is considered capable by Nawaz Sharif,” he asserted.

Captain (r) Safdar while terming court’s decision emotional said that such verdicts were also given in Musharraf era. “Nawaz Sharif has become accountability bureau. The 22 crore population of Pakistan know that Sharif is their saviour,” he said.

Talal Chaudhry pronounced that instead of complaining to the judiciary, the parliament should ponder over the current situation.

“Presidency and ministry are not the concerns of Nawaz Sharif but the elimination of outdated system running in the country from the past 70 years,” he said.

“All the eyes are now on the parliament who will decide upon the basic rights and duties. We will reverse all the decisions with the power of the vote,” declared Talal.

Hanif Abbasi stated, “Nawaz Sharif is everything for us. The decision of court belongs to them but the public has its own verdict.”
