The Pakistan Army on Monday destroyed an Indian border post that targeted and killed an 8-year-old Pakistani boy in Jajot village along the Line of Control (LoC). At least two Indian soldiers were also killed in the swift retaliatory attack by Pakistan armed forces.
Earlier in the day, the minor boy, identified as Ayan, died in Indian cross-border firing near the LoC, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.
The boy became a fresh victim of Indian ceasefire violations that have been continuing since the last few months, the statement read. The ISPR statement denounced Indian brutalities in the border areas of Pakistan.
While commenting on the incident, ISPR Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said that such cowardly attacks on the civilian population by the Indian border forces along the LoC have exposed the true face of Indian forces.
Moreover, ISPR also showed concern on the use of pellet guns by the Indian forces against unarmed Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
Indian security forces have been using pellet guns in Kashmir since 2010 by terming it a “non-lethal” weapon to disperse civilian protests against the Indian occupation forces.
Last year, the excessive use of pellet guns against Kashmiri protestors, resulting in the permanent damage to the eyes and other body parts of the victims, had earned it the title “epidemic of dead eyes”. Ever since that time, international rights groups have called for a complete ban on the use of pellet guns against innocent civilians.
Meanwhile, in a fresh incident of Indian aggression in IOK, Indian forces martyred an elderly mentally-challenged civilian near Air Force station in Badgam district.
The mentally-challenged man was shot dead by Indian troops. The spot examination revealed that the individual was 55-year-old and was mentally-challenged, local police said.
“The person being currently identified is not wearing foot wears, is without proper winter clothing and has no identity card,” the police said, adding that a case has been registered into the incident.
On the other hand, Indian forces of 30 and 32 Rashtriya Rifles launched a massive operation in Gundkalan, Kralgund and Handwara areas of Kupwara district. Meanwhile, Indian police arrested a youth from Dalgate area of Srinagar.
Lanat on the Pakistani Establishment and this is coming from a citizen. I understand the measures taken secretly but if our enemy is targeting and killing innocent minors now and we are unable to teach them a lesson then are we really a strong nation? Might is not measured by power, or military but by the amount of a respect someone has.
agree with you
Weaker can’t earn respect. You have to have power in today’s world to be respected brother.
