LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif said Sunday that elements involved in politics of allegations are intentionally creating hurdles in the process of development in the province.
In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif said that those who were in the habit of leveling allegations against opponents were enemies of development and progress, adding that such people were even ready to put national stability at stake for their personal gains.
He said that during the past four-and-a-half years, such elements have promoted politics of lies and allegations but the masses would not spare such people for their misdeeds.
Furthermore, the chief minister said that those raising fingers at others have never analysed their own party performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. The masses of KP were fed up with the hollow slogans raised by members of the KP government, and instead they wanted the provincial government to take concrete steps for their welfare, he added.
Commenting on the upcoming general elections, Shehbaz Sharif said that those who have served the masses with commitment and sincerity would ultimately remain successful, adding that those who have only made verbal claims and pledges to the masses would have to face defeat in the polls.
