  • PML-N-led govt strengthened national defence, Asif says

  • Says masses have rejected “Dharna Party’s” politics of conflict, confrontation

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Saturday said that politically mature masses using the power of their vote in the general elections would once again elect the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) into power.

Addressing a mammoth convention of the party workers in Sialkot, the federal minister also said that in the upcoming elections, the people would ensure the sanctity of their votes and the PML-N’s convoy led by Nawaz Sharif would soon reach its destination by removing all hurdles and strengthening true democracy and democratic values in the country.

“The PML-N-led government will put Pakistan on the highway to political and economic stability,” added Asif.

The foreign minister said that this time the nation would vote for the PML-N because of its fabulous performance in every sector and would also secure the sanctity of their votes from the political elements which he said were “not sincere with the country”.

He said that only the PML-N had delivered by honouring all its commitments, especially that of putting an end to the inherited energy crisis and load shedding.

The foreign minister said that Nawaz reached before the masses in the court of the people against injustice and his political victimisation, and added that the people would once again reject all the verdicts against Nawaz and his family by voting him into power with the power of their votes.

He also said that people proved their loyalty with the former prime minister Nawaz by voting for the PML-N in the recently held Lodhran by-polls.

Asif said there was no doubt that the people had rejected the politics of conflict and confrontation by the “Dharna Party”, while adding that such rejected political elements had nothing to show to the masses while going before them ahead of the 2018 general elections.

He asked the people to vote for the PML-N while owing to its splendid performance and advised others to respect the public mandate instead of making lame excuses and tall claims of serving the people in better ways.
