ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing on Friday called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
They discussed matters of mutual interests and the current regional situation. Senator Sherry Rehman and former National Assembly Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi were also present in the meeting.
The two sides also talked about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and said that the project had further improved the socio-economic partnership between the two countries.
According to party sources, Asif Zardari assured his cooperation and support to the Chinese envoy in carrying out his professional duties. He also assured the envoy of continued cooperation to further improve the decades-old strategic partnership between the two countries.
Zardari also said that Sino-Pak traditional relationship was a source peace, development and prosperity in the region.
