ISLAMABAD: Notables from North Waziristan Agency (NWA) called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Zardari House, Islamabad on Wednesday and announced to join PPP.
The NWA notables who joined PPP included Malik Ghulam Khan Wazir, Malik Muhamad Asheer, Zaitullah Khan, Asal Mir, Malik Ayaz Khan, Ashraf Khan, Sami Muhammad Wazir, Mir Baat Khan, Noor Khan, Ashraf Khan, Fazal Khan, Masood Khan, Sakhi Sarwar Khan, Sarhadullah Khan, Qayyum Khan, Gulzar Khan, Wali Khan and Saeed Noor.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari, welcoming the new entrants in the party, said that the merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was the mission of the party. He said that people of FATA have sacrificed the most in resisting terrorists, adding that PPP wants progress and development in the area so that the youth can have the opportunity of employment and have the facilities of schools and hospitals.
He also said that soon FATA will be a part of KP.
Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Faisal Karim Kundi and Akhunzada Chattan were also present on the occasion.
The only trader (leader) who could pay the price ( of joining party) was Asif Ali Zardari. It was reported in media that the FATA members had a price-tag of Rs 1.5 billion per head. May be they were paid more than their original price. This is what happened in Baluchistan. Democracy at it’s best !
