SARGODHA: “2018 is the year of ‘Change’, party workers must get ready for the upcoming elections to chase away the candidates of looters league and plunderers”, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan while addressing the Sargodha Workers Convention on Tuesday.
Reiterating his resolve to fight corruption, he stated that the country’s prosperity and stability depend upon abridging the politics of oppression and corruption. Criticising the ruling elite, the PTI chairman stated that Zardari’s and the Sharif brothers’ corruption spanning over decades has crippled the country economically.
He went on to add that it is shameful that crooks attacked and intimidated state institutions in a bid to stop them from performing their constitutional duties. “In order to save their ill-gotten wealth, they strived to instigate anarchy in the country”, said Imran.
The PTI leader also vowed to rein in the corrupt lot and resolved to not allow the Sharifs and their cronies to escape without facing accountability for their decades’ long financial misdoings. “They are answerable for the miseries this nation has faced and we will make them return every single penny they looted from Pakistan,” stated Imran Khan.
Lauding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, he concluded that the PTI-led KP government’s performance has been acknowledged globally. The tide of change that emerged from KP will sweep Punjab and other provinces.
