KARACHI: A group of dacoits nicknamed ‘Tala-Tor’, looted clothes, cosmetics and cash during the wee hours after breaking the locks of shops in Karachi’s Malir area on Sunday.
The dacoits robbed nine shops in Anarkali Market, Model Colony and fled the scene.
Model Colony SHO visited Anarkali Market and instead of assuring the shopkeepers that the culprits would be arrested, he told them to hire security guards to prevent such instances in the future.
The shopkeepers recorded their protest over the unhelpful attitude of the police and asked the chief minister to take notice of the incident. They also asked the government to provide compensation for their losses so that they could resume their businesses.
