MULTAN: A three-day anti-polio drive would commence in Multan from February 12 (Monday) with the target to vaccinate 8,63,000 children across the district.
The pre-polio drive inauguration ceremony was held at the city’s Shehbaz Sharif Hospital on Saturday. Health Chief Executive Officer Dr Shahid Bukhari inaugurated the drive.
As many as 2,162 health teams have been constituted for door-to-door vaccination, and also at various hospitals, bus-stands and railway stations.
The drive would continue till February 14, while a two-day follow-up would also be held.
Dr Shahid said that the security of the polio teams would be ensured on top priority.
