PESHAWAR: Word ‘Daesh’, written with red paint, was spotted on a bridge located on the peripheries of Peshawar on Tuesday, reports a local English daily.
The graffiti triggered fresh concerns among the locals, however, was later erased by the police. Police reportedly asked a painter to write “KP Police Zindabad” in its place.
When the newspaper contacted the Mathra police officials, they denied any knowledge of the incident and said it might have taken place in Faqirabad police station limits. Faqirabad police also denied knowledge of the graffiti.
