Second phase of the environmental project, funded by Coca-Cola Foundation and implemented by WWF-Pakistan, is now nearing successful completion. This project has gained greater significance as theme for the World Environment Day this year, as declared by the United Nations, was ‘Forests – Nature’.
This project first started off in November 2008 and aimed at improving sub-watershed management in Ayubia National Park (G200-Western Himalayas). It was originally scheduled to end in June 2010 but was extended till June this year through additional funding from Coca-Cola. Even as the second phase comes to an end, plans for a third phase are being finalised. Press Release
