KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Saturday claimed to have arrested 12 criminals, including a Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM- Haqiqi) activist, from different areas of the metropolis.
A Rangers spokesman said that a Rangers’ team carried out a targeted raid in Landhi area of the city and detained an MQM-Haqiqi activist, Asad Qasir alias Bila. The accused was stated to be involved in extortion, robberies and several other criminal activities.
Meanwhile, during a targeted raid in Lyari’s Chakiwara area, the Rangers arrested a member of Uzair Baloch’s gang, Kamran Ghani alias Kami.
In different search operations in Lyari, Korangi and Bilal Colony, the Rangers nabbed 10 criminals, Aftab Ahmed, Sirjeel Ahmed, Wajahat, Gulzaman, Sheraz, Faisal, Wali Muhammad Sultan, Muhammad Tiamur Khan and Hakim Ali.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contrabands from their possession.
