LAHORE: Fog-related traffic accidents, early Thursday morning, led to the death of one individual and several others getting injured in various cities of Punjab.
Dense fog enveloped most of Punjab plains on Thursday morning, affecting the visibility range and causing problems for normal life.
One man- as yet unidentified- was killed in a road accident in Toba Tek Singh and a score of people were injured after at least 10 vehicles crashed into each other on Kasur Road in Lahore.
Similarly, several people sustained injuries when a passenger van and bus turned turtle in Rahim Yar Khan and Sheikhupura respectively.
Moreover, various sections of the Motorway were closed for all kind of vehicular traffic due to dense fog. The commuters and vehicle drivers were advised to drive vehicles cautiously on the road and turn on fog lights while driving.
On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has also predicted heavy fog in plains and upper areas of the Sindh province.
