In recognition of the World Environment Day, the Lahore Zoo management has planned to organise an event on June 04, 2011. Acting Zoo Director Dr Zahid Bhatti said his team had always looked to develop facilities for animals and visitors. The event will be a public message activity in collaboration with Panasonic cooperation CCSD. Management of the zoo has planned a tree plantation activity in enclosures and nurseries of animals, where children will plant saplings. Paper bags and posters will also be distributed as part of a zoo education programme and an awareness campaign will be held against the use of polythene shopping bags at both entrance gates.
