FAISALABAD: State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that the government is committed to eliminating terrorism from the country once for all and making it economic power by completing all development projects like China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Addressing a meeting with leaders of Anjuman-e-Tajran and Jamaat Ahle Sunnat in Jaranwala here Monday, he said that the country made tremendous progress during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.

The political rivals should compare their development performance with that of the PML-N government instead of hatching conspiracies and staging protest demonstrations.

The minister said that the political opponents of the PML-N had nothing to say against the development agenda of the party. “That’s why they are putting blames of blasphemy on the PML-N and using religion for their vested interests,” he alleged.

He also said that PML-N could bear all allegations other than blasphemy. Therefore, our rivals should avoid such tactics, he added.

Talal said that people are also fully aware of true faces of anti-development elements and they would reject such elements by ensuring their full participation in a public meeting of Nawaz Sharif, scheduled to be held on Jan 27 in Jaranwala.

On this occasion, leaders of Anjuman-e-Tajran and Jamaat Ahle Sunnat also assured of their active participation in a public meeting of Nawaz Sharif in Jaranwala and said that they would also support the PML-N in the next elections.
