KARACHI: The University of Karachi will hold the inauguration ceremony of a Counseling Center under the auspices of Department of Psychology on January 23, 2018, at the Arts Auditorium of the university.
Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair will be the chief guest and inaugurate the center. The Vice-Chancellor, Dr Ajmal Khan, will preside over the event while Faculty of Social Sciences including Dr Muhammad Ahmed Qadri, Sardar Yasin Malik, Dr. Farah Iqbal, Dr. Qudsia Tariq and Dr Anila Amber Malik will address the participants.
Department of Psychology Chairperson Dr Farah Iqbal informed that this center is the first ever counseling center in a public sector university in Sindh. “It is pivotal to address the increasing level of stress among the citizens in the prevailing situation”, she added.
