SIALKOT: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Indian aggression or any misadventure shall always get a most befitting response.
He said this while visiting Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary (WB) in Khuiratta/Ratta Arayan sectors.
Local commanders briefed COAS about Indian ceasefire violations specifically targeting civilian population across LoC and WB. The COAS appreciated the effective and responsible reply of Pakistani troops to unethical Indian targeting.
He also appreciated high morale of troops and civilians.
The army chief also directed for enhanced protective measures, including construction of more community shell protection shelters for civil population. The COAS especially hailed heroic determination of local population against blatant Indian aggression.
General (retd) Bajwa also said that “our commitment to abide by the ceasefire agreement of 2003 should never be misconstrued as response limitation”.
Later, COAS also visited Sialkot CMH to meet citizens injured due to recent Indian shelling.
Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza and Gujranwala Corps Commander Lieutenant General Amir Abbasi also were present during the visit.
