CHARSADDA: Jamaat e Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq said Friday that the hue and cry made by Nawaz Sharif over his disqualification is uncalled for. He said this while addressing a public meeting at Shabqadar park.
The JI chief said that the 2018 elections would prove to be a day of judgment for the corrupt politicians who were plundering public money and turning a blind eye towards the plight of the general public. Hundreds of local youth and notables of the area announced their resignations from different political parties and joined JI.
Siraj said that an Islamic revolution was knocking at the door of the country as all man-made systems have failed in Pakistan. He said that some elements were spreading baseless propaganda against the imposition of an Islamic system in the country.
However, he made it clear that the Islamic system did not mean chopping the hands of culprits, instead, it was a comprehensive system to eradicate poverty, enforce the rule of law and grant rights to women.
He said the propaganda against the Islamic system of governance was being propagated by the ‘gang of four’ who would soon be held accountable for their misdeeds and would be handed down exemplary punishments.
Siraj condemned the murder of a tribal youth Naqeeb by police in Karachi and stressed upon the Sindh police chief to arrest the killer at any cost.
