Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday came down hard on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League (AML) head Sheikh Rasheed for cursing parliament in the multi-party opposition protest led by Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held in Lahore on Wednesday.

“Those cursing have lost the strength of argument,” the minister said in a tweet.

Rafique lambasted that the so-called honest individuals, who received salaries for being absent from parliament, had stooped down to hurling abuses, and demanded they apologised to the nation.

“Have seen some really shameless individuals, but none matched Zardari, Qadri and Niazi,” the minister said.

Earlier in the day, the National Assembly passed a resolution condemning PTI Chairman Imran Khan and AML chief Sheikh Rasheed’s ‘anti-Parliament’ remarks.
