14 outlaws including five proclaimed offenders held

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested 14 outlaws including five proclaimed offenders and recovered 1.320 kilograms of hashish, 12 wine bottles and weapons from them, a police spokesperson said.

He said that Sub-Inspector Rab Nawaz of Tarnol police arrested Shahid Mehmud for having 1.20 kilograms of hashish while ASI Imran Haider from the secretariat police arrested Sajjad for having two wine bottles.

ASI Javed Iqbal of Shalimar police arrested Aabid Aashiq for having 10 wine bottles while Sub-Inspector Shamas Akbar of Ramana police arrested Ejaz for possessing 300 grams of hashish.

ASI Inam Ullah of the Noon police station arrested Faiz for having a 30 bore pistol. ASI Nasar Ullah of Aabpara police nabbed Babar and Irfan for impersonating themselves as personnel of a law enforcement agency besides recovering wireless sets from them.

ASI Aurangzeb from Sihala police arrested Mukamal Khan for having a 30 bore pistol while ASI Tanveer Raza from Loi Bher police nabbed Naveed for his alleged involvement in a fraud case.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police also arrested five proclaimed offenders wanted for their involvement in crimes of heinous nature.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in their respective areas.
