The Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Pakistan (DCAP) condemned on Thursday the murder of Asia Times Online Bureau Chief Saleem Shahzad, calling it “a shocking act of barbarism” and demanding the government conduct a transparent inquiry to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The impunity enjoyed by Shahzad’s murderers is a cause of concern for all of us and we are fretful about the safety and security of other journalists,” a statement issued by DCAP said.
