ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Raşit Meredow has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif from January 15 to 16.
According to a Foreign Office statement, the ministers from two countries would lead their respective sides to the inaugural session of Pakistan-Turkmenistan Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC). The foreign minister of Turkmenistan would also be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
Pakistan and Turkmenistan have traditionally enjoyed cordial relations marked by mutual trust and understanding. The bilateral collaboration in different sectors had also been growing steadily between the two countries. The visit of the delegation would further reinforce Pakistan’s commitment to deepen its engagement with Turkmenistan and build a strong economic partnership with the country.
