Rise in abduction, rape cases of minor girls in Kasur

KASUR: The police have failed to find any clues regarding the abduction of the minor girl who was kidnapped from Kasur city a few days ago. Eight-year-old Zainab had gone to her tuition centre but did not return. The parents of the minor had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, and the girl was living with her aunts.

The A-division police had registered the case but still has failed to find any clue. Locals believe that Zainab has either been sold or murdered after rape. When the higher officials of the city’s police were contacted, they said that the police were trying their best to recover Zainab. The police also said that some of the accused would be disclosed after interrogation.

The residents of Kasur now distressed due to the increasing incidents of kidnapping, rape and murder of minor girls, are now reluctant to send their daughters to schools and tuition centres.

This is the eleventh kidnapping incident of minor girls in Kasur. The ages of the girls were reported to be between 5 to 8 years. Eimaan Fatima, Fouzia, Noor Fatima, Sanna, Asma and Laiba were kidnapped from Kasur and its surroundings in 2017, and their dead bodies were recovered from different parts of the city later. The medical reports confirmed sexual assault with the minors.
