U.S. values Uzbekistan’s role Afghanistan, says Obama’s advisor

The United States highly values the participation of Uzbekistan in the socioeconomic revival of Afghanistan, U.S. President Barack Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough said here, according to Uza news agency.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov received McDonough in Tashkent. Welcoming the guest, Karimov said the Uzbek-U.S. relations are developing stably and consistently in all directions.
During the meeting, the two sides considered issues of regional security and stability, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
McDonough passed the personal message of the U.S. President Barack Obama to Karimov and underlined his country’s interest in developing long-term relations with Uzbekistan.
