NA body directs construction of LCWU’s new campus

LAHORE: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform which met on Thursday in the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) directed for expediting the construction work of the new campus of the University at Kala Shah Kaku in order to complete the construction work in time.

The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, MNA. The Vice-Chancellor, LCWU, briefed the Committee on the performance, development work, achievements and future goals of the University in detail. After the detailed briefing, the Committee showed its satisfaction over the performance of the University.

The Committee recommended the Punjab Government and Higher Education Committee (HEC), Punjab to appoint Vice-Chancellor in the Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan on a regular basis so as to improve the performance and standard of the University.

The meeting was attended by, Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Shaheen Shafiq, Shamas-un-Nisa, Junaid Akbar, Qaiser Jamal, Sher Akber Khan and Iftikhar-ud-Din, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Syed Muhammad Athar Hussain Shah Gillani, Dr Asma Mamdot, Shazia Sohail Mir, Dr Nafisa Shah, Asiya Nasir, MNAs and officials of the Ministry.
