KARACHI: The Sindh government has approved health professional allowance (half-basic pay) per month for the employees of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, with approval of the competent authority (the chief minister), the government has allowed health professional allowance per month to the hospital’s staff with immediate effect.
The doctors, nurses and paramedical staff have welcomed the move. Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association (PPMSA) Sindh President Ismail Jaskani and other office-bearers including Gul Saeed Khan, Haq Nawaz Sial and Jam Jameel also lauded the Sindh government for the approval of the health professional allowance for the JPMC employees.
They have demanded to the Sindh government to constitute the Sindh Allied Health Professional Council, implement on deceased quota, give risk allowance, modification in the service structure and expansion of the paramedical faculty.
