RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and laid a wreath at the Shuhada monument, Miran Shah.
“On the occasion, Miranshah General Officer Commanding gave a detailed briefing on the security situation, rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and the progress on socio-economic development projects in the agency”, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here.
The COAS also visited newly constructed border forts and fencing along the Pak-Afghan border.
He appreciated the efforts of speedy and quality work for border security measures.
Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Khalid Nazir Butt was also present during the visit.
