Pakistan Navy test fires indigenously built Harbah Naval Cruise Missile

ISLAMABAD: Demonstrating the credible fire power of Pakistan Navy and the impeccable level of indigenisation in high tech weaponry achieved by Pakistan’s defence industry, Pakistan Navy’s newly commissioned Fast Attack Craft (Missile), PNS HIMMAT carried out live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea and fired the indigenously built Harbah Naval Cruise Missile.

In an impressive fire power display, the surface to surface anti-ship missile with land attack capability accurately hit its target validating Harbah Naval Weapon System’s remarkable abilities, which manifested the government’s resolve to achieve self-reliance in the field.

Expressing his satisfaction on the operational readiness of Pakistan Navy Fleet units, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi witnessed the firing onboard Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR.

Chief of the Naval Staff also acclaimed the efforts of those involved in achieving the significant milestone. Appreciating the efforts made by the engineers and researchers in making Harbah Naval Weapon System project a success, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan Navy to ensure seaward defence of the country.
