2017 proved to be yet another interesting year for the entertainment fraternity. Although this year had its fair share of ups and down, there was a moment on the microblogging site that was named the Golden Tweet of the Year 2017.
Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot with Virat Kohli on December 11, made an announcement the same day with the picture from the wedding. When it came to the overall Golden Tweet of the Year from the world of Bollywood, Anushka’s tweet won hearts in India.
The Bollywood star confirmed her wedding with the Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli on Twitter and that was enough to send the fans on a retweeting spree. It has a whopping 59,000 retweets and counting.
Virat Kohli had also shared a wedding picture as a part of their announcement via Twitter. The cricketer’s tweet became the most retweeted post with over 91, 000 retweets and counting.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees became the most talked about Bollywood film of 2017 on Twitter which was followed by Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai grabbing the second place, according to Twitter India’s annual ranking list and based on hashtag volume.
Salman Khan’s Tubelight may not have done well at the box office but it sure did well on Twitter with the third position on the list. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh came in on more fourth position followed by Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil on the fifth position.
SRK’s Jab Harry Met Sejal secured sixth position followed by Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha at number seven.
