MULTAN: The chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman is optimistic for the next elections and said that there was no particular reason for a delay in next elections.
The JUI chief told a private TV channel that people voted for parties on the basis of their political manifesto and performance, therefore the political parties manifesto should be envisaged with economic prosperity and peace.
“The merger of FATA with KP must be considering people’s wishes as any decision taken forcefully can be a backlash,” he said adding that those who were urging the FATA-KP merger had already denied the decision taken by the FATA jirga.
Replying to a question he said that Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal will take part in the coming elections with its full capacity.
Commenting on the media’s role, the JUI-F chief said, “The media is playing a biased role by giving coverage to their liked parties, therefore media should make balance in their coverage”.
