Three Punjabi labourers were killed while another was injured when they were attacked by gunmen in Punjgur, some 800 km west of Quetta on Monday. Police said four labourers, all hailing from Multan and Bhawalpur, were working on private construction site, a house owned by Muhammad Naeem in Tasp area of Punjgur, when two masked men riding a motorcycle opened fire on them, killing Ejaz Hussain, Mohammad and Irfan Ali on the spot and injuring Nasir Shah. No militant organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Meanwhile two local residents were abducted from their houses presumably by intelligence personnel in Katan area of Khuzdar district. Reportedly some armed men barged into two houses and took two people (one from each) away. The identity of those whisked away was yet to be known when this story was filed.
