Matli police under the supervision of Matli city SHO Riaz Ahmed Bajirani launched a cracked down against drug peddlers on Monday and seized huge cache of narcotics and gutka worth millions of rupees.
According to details, SSP Abdul Qayoom Pitafi ordered all the SHOs and others concerned officials of his department to take strict action against drugs peddlers and vendors in their respective areas across the district.
During such crackdown Matli police raided in the city area and recovered 1500 packets of the drugs (gutka) which was being shifted to different areas of district through black Toyota Corolla car and the two suspected drugs peddlers managed to escape on the spot.
While talking to the media, SHO Riaz Ahmed Bajirani said that police were much vigilant to impede the drugs in district adding that police raids would be continued till the end of the drugs selling and manufacturing in the city.
While talking to this reporter, SSP Abdul Qayoom Pitafi maintained that police were made alert across the district and no one would be allowed to sell out the drugs. He also announced the CC-III reward to the police contingent who raided and recovered the huge cache of drugs and assured the citizen of continuing the crackdown against the drugs peddlers till its logical end.
