Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday urged Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects in the province.
During their meeting at the Chief Minister House in Karachi, Zardari discussed various development schemes with Murad and told him to ensure that the quality of the schemes was not compromised and all deadlines were met.
“Timely completion of the projects will be of greater benefit to the people of the area,” said Zardari.
The chief minister briefed the PPP co-chairman about the development portfolio of the province, foreign-aided development programmes and status of the Thar coal mining and power plant project.
Zardari said that the generation of coal-fired power was Benazir Bhutto’s dream and appreciated the provincial government’s progress in this area. The two PPP leaders also discussed the programme for the commemoration of Benazir Bhutto’s 10th death anniversary and other public gatherings the party plans to organise across Sindh and in other provinces.
