Three junior-level officials of the India High Commission in Islamabad were recalled back to New Dehli following the reports that Pakistan’s spy agency had tried to honey-trap them.

The officials are now being investigated in the Indian capital, New Delhi, about the entire episode, reported the Hindustan Times.

According to the outlet, the three junior-level officials, who were working in the language department of the high commission, returned recently to the headquarters of the ministry of external affairs (MEA) here after they apprised senior officers in the mission about the alleged attempt.

At the moment, the officials are being questioned by concerned authorities to know about further details of the alleged plot by the Pakistani spy agency.

A decision on their return to Islamabad will be taken after the due process of investigation into the episode was over, it was reported.

The MEA did not comment on the incident.
