KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that political instability in the region is the main cause of growing terrorism and law and order problems.

Addressing the Convocation of Baqai Medical University in Karachi on Monday, he expressed deep sorrow and grief over the yesterday’s attack on a Church in Quetta.

He said the terrorists targeted the Christian community while they were preparing to celebrate the upcoming Christmas, and their design appears to be disturbing the religious harmony in the country.

He called upon the educational institutions to prepare a skilled manpower to meet challenges of the modern world. He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would generate new opportunities for the youth in all spheres of life.

The President hoped that the youth will promote the vision of founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in letter and spirit.

He also lauded the role of Baqai University in imparting quality medical education to the new generation.
