Former Jammat-e-Islami (JI) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad expressed serious concerns over the prevailing law and order crises in the country. He said the country was passing through a critical stage of its history and the political leadership must lead the nation and armed forces in the right direction.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with the ‘Hatmi Bukhari Sharif’ here at Jamia Muftah-ul-Uloom Shergarh on Sunday, he alleged that the American CIA and Mossad were conspiring against Pakistan, adding that some local elements were also playing in the hands of foreign elements. He said attacks on government installation and personnel of law enforcement agencies would not serve the muslims and Pakistan.
However, the country would become an easy target for foreign invaders through these arm clashes. He maintained that Pakistan was a resource-rich country, direly in need of honest leadership. He asserted that Pakistan was an Islamic democratic republic and all clerics had unanimously agreed on the agenda that armed struggle for the imposition of Shariat was not the solution to the country’s problems.
He suggested the government to avoid indulging in the war of others as the ‘war on terror’ was not its own. He demanded the government to review its foreign policy and disassociate itself from US alliance.
