Punjab okays uplift schemes in PDWP meeting

LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 1677.063 million.

These schemes were approved in the 37th meeting of PDWP for the fiscal year 2017-18. Planning and Development Department (P&D) Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan presided over the meeting.

P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned, P&D Coordination-II Assistant Chief Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes included, establishment of 60 bedded tehsil level hospital at Sabzazar scheme, Lahore, at the cost of Rs 526.953 million, upgradation of RHC Kahna Nau as tehsil level 60 bedded hospital at the cost of Rs 557.033 million, automation of stamp papers (E-stamping) (revised) at the cost of Rs 482.696 million, provision of sewerage/drainage and streets in various union councils of Gujrat city (PP-111) at the cost of Rs 90.000 million and third party validation (TPV) of Chief Minister Special Development Package at the cost of Rs 20.381 million.
