KARACHI: At least one person was killed and eight injured when a fast moving dumper-trailer hit four cars and two rickshaws near the Liaquatabad’s post office on Thursday.
According to the police, the unfortunate accident occurred due to truck’s break fail. The authorities have arrested the truck driver.
As a result, a 32-year-old woman suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, while Rizwan aged 45, Nomi 32, Arfan 30, Sabir 26, Hussain 25, Saqib 25, Azeem 22 and Nasir 20 sustained injuries.
The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.
