Rangers arrest 13 accused including banned outfit member

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 13 alleged criminals, including a banned outfit members, in different targeted raids in the metropolis.

According to reports, a rangers’ party conducted a raid on a tip-off in the Razia area and apprehended a banned Sipah Muhammad Pakistan member, Saeed Atif Abbasi Naqvi. The accused was stated to be involved in target killing, extortion and several others criminal activities.

Separately, a Rangers’ team carried out a raid in the Preedy area and arrested an activist allegedly belonging to the MQM-London. The accused was identified as Muhammad Daniyal.

During search operations in Gizri, Gulbreg, Razia Society, and Korangi industrial area, the rangers apprehended six criminals, Saifullah, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Marajudin, Muhammad Nasir, and two kidnappers, Anjum Malik alias Fayyaz, and Muhammad Faizan alias Don.

Rangers also carried out raids against drug peddlers in Lyari’s Chakiwara area and arrested five alleged criminals, Fawad Ali, Balaj, Asghar Ali, Abbas Ali and Haji Junaid.

The Rangers also claimed to have recovered weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession.

The detained accused would be handed over to police for further legal formalities.
