Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has cancelled the inter-city teachers’ transfers/postings made during the last two months.
These directives were issued by the Education and Literacy minister while chairing a meeting here on Monday. Education Schools Secretary Iqbal Hussain Durrani also attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Jam Mehtab said that the number of teachers were more in big cities than required and the current scenario needed that more teachers must be assigned in rural areas so that the curriculum activities might go smoothly.
He said, “It is a fact that measures taken by Sindh Education Department have brought positive results and the cooperation of all stakeholders will bring better results as well.”
The minister also directed not to assign any male headmaster in any girls school. If it was done so then it must be addressed. He asked the education secretary to ensure that HMs, who passed IB Sukkur and assigned the duties, should run financial matters in collaboration with CMOs concerned.
Jam Mehtab further directed the officers to perform their duties honestly and play their positive and constructive role in providing better education to the children of the province.
