The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday claimed to have arrested alleged members of a sex trafficking gang that sends girls from Punjab to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to work as sex workers.
According to Express News, suspects Hasan Imtiaz and his wife Sameena were arrested in Toba Tek Singh for allegedly deceiving a family into sending their two young girls to KSA as employees.
The girls—first sold in Pakistan—were illegally trafficked to Saudi Arabia to work as prostitutes.
FIA officials have stated the suspects belonged to a six-member gang. They said raids were being carried out to nab the remaining associates of the sex trafficking ring.
