ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said that Pakistan and Yemen are brotherly Islamic countries and enjoy cordial relations.
He said this while talking to the ambassador of Yemen to Pakistan, Mohammed Motahar Alashabi who called on him, here on Friday.
The federal minister welcomed the Yemeni ambassador and matters regarding education and sports besides scholarship programs for Yemeni students were discussed during the meeting.
Motahar Alashabi said that Pakistan and Yemen have close and fraternal ties. He noted that students from Yemen are studying in different educational institutions in Pakistan.
Riaz Pirzada echoed his statement and said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Yemen and that the people of Pakistan have great respect for the people of Yemen. He said that Yemeni students will be provided proper facilities in Pakistan, adding that they will be provided scholarships under the cultural exchange program.
At the end, the ambassador of Yemen thanked Riaz Pirzada. The Pakistan Sports Board Director General, Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and officers of the ministry of inter-provincial coordination were also present in the meeting.
