ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Wednesday conducted search operations in the industrial area and Nilore police stations and arrested 19 suspects besides impounding 30 bikes and four vehicles without documents, a police spokesman said.
The officials of Islamabad Police conducted search operation in various areas of industrial area and Nilore under the supervision of superintendents of police (rural and industrial area).The search operation was also participated by police commandos, lady commandos and staff of bomb disposal squad.
They screened 100 houses, checked more than 100 persons and arrested 19 suspects besides impounding 30 bikes and four vehicles having no documents.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani said that the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance was to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it.
He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
