RAWALPINDI: A delegation of members of the Standing Committee on Defence from both the houses of parliament on Tuesday visited the Line of Control (LoC) and condemned provocative ceasefire violations by Indian forces.

The delegation, during its visit of the Chakothi and Nezapir sectors, also appreciated the befitting response to Indian aggression by the army while protecting the local population, said a statement issued by the Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR).

The parliamentarians were also briefed about the situation along the LoC and the resultant loss of innocent civilian lives and damage to infrastructure due to Indian firing.

The delegates were also taken to the Trade Facilitation Centre where they were apprised of trade activities carried out between India and Pakistan.
