ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior on Monday has been asked to direct a thorough investigation into the prediction by an Indian national named Anirudh Kumar Mishra, regarding the recent act of terrorism in Peshawar, just a day before.

This is the same man, who predicted five more such terrorist attacks in Pakistan till mid-February.

Senator Rehman Malik said that India’s intelligence agency, RAW, was using Afghanistan’s soil for conducting such nefarious activities in Pakistan. He asked the Interior Ministry to probe and expose India’s real face at international forums and to review the progress of the National Action Plan (NAP) since its formulation in 2014. He also asked the interior ministry to look into more such tweets.

Senator Malik moved the resolution stating the Senate Standing Committee on Interior strongly condemns the painful terror attack on the Agriculture Training Institute, Peshawar wherein on December 1, 2017, 12 people were martyred and 35 were injured.

The committee urged the government to enhance security across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and to contact Interpol to put pressure on the Afghan government to hand over the terrorists hiding in Afghanistan.

The committee discussed the action being taken against Turk citizens who were living in Pakistan on valid visas. This was moved by Senator Muhammad Ali Khan Saif, who pointed out that since Pakistan was a signatory to numerous international conventions, providing protection to foreigners living here legally is the utmost priority.

To this, the Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that no deportations were carrying out that involved foreigners with legal cover. It was mentioned in the committee that as many as 175 Turks had voluntarily left the country whereas around 219 Turks were still residing in the country.

The matter is now going to be discussed in the next meeting after details regarding trials pending in courts are provided by the mover.

FIA briefed the committee on inquiries referred to the agency by the CDA against cooperative housing societies accused of selling non-available plots.

Director FIA said that action was being taken against Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society, E-11, Pak Medical Cooperative Housing Society, E-11, Jammu & Kashmir Cooperative Housing Society, G-15 and Soan Gardens Cooperative Housing Society, Zone 5. The FIA was asked by the panel’s chairman to provide more details on violations in this regard against these societies.

  1. Its stupid for the Pakistani senate to ask for investigation. This guy is an astrologer and has put a bunch of predictions including on indian elections, north korea etc. This will only make him famous. It does not require a nobel prize brain to predict terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Take the last few months, you will see many attacks. So no matter what he says, he will be correct..,.(just taking past numbers into account). Just ignore him.
