WASHINGTON: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan on Monday said that Kashmir and Pakistan are inseparable and that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir.

Sardar Masood said this while addressing a gathering of Pakistani American community at the Pakistan Embassy, Washington DC.

He remarked that the world must strongly condemn the brutalities perpetrated by Indian security forces in the Kashmir valley, urging the international community to look into the continuing violence and bloodshed in the valley.

President Masood Khan said that the sacrifices of the Indian people will never go to waste and one day the Indian government will have to take steps to resolve the matter. He praised the Kashmiri movement, both within the United States as well as other parts of the world for keeping the Kashmir issue alive.

Masood reiterated that peace in the South Asian region is not possible until the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir is resolved.

President Masood Khan said that Pakistan was the only “sovereign window” to the international community, in the eyes of Kashmiris. AJK President also said that Kashmiris from both sides – Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian occupied Kashmir – are also taking their story directly to the international community in order to be heard.

Unlike the perception propagated by the Indian media, he said there is no terrorism in Kashmir and that Kashmiris are instead waging a political struggle to win their freedom from India’s illegitimate rule.

He stressed that instead of being treated as aliens in their homeland, Kashmiris should be able to decide their political future and the destiny of their state.

Responding to a series of questions, the AJK President said it was India, and not Pakistan, that was responsible for the non-implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions.

According to Resolution 98 of December 23, 1952, both India and Pakistan were required to proportionately reduce their troops simultaneously. But India had declined to fulfil its international obligation and, instead, propped up a dubious constituent assembly to hold rigged elections, thereby violating the UN Security Council resolutions.

  1. what about the east pakistan? is it incomplete since 1971? Pakistan was never meant to be a State to begin with! Wait and see how the remaining rest of the country disintegrate!

    • You worry about Assam, Nagaland & Manipur. And BTW, who created East Pakistan? It wasn’t India who created East Pakistan. If there was no East Pakistan then there would have been no Bangladesh either !

  2. Pakistan should support people of Assam, Nagaland & Manipur as Pakistan is already providing security to 35 % kashmir. Should divert the attention of Indian Rogue Army as they are totally focused on Kashmir.
