A 20 member students’ delegation from Bangladesh, led by Dr Shahid Akhtar Hussain visited Government College University, Lahore on Friday and met the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Professor Dr Khalid Perviaz and other university officials.
The group discussed issues pertaining to academics and future prospects to strengthen regional prosperity through education. The GCU faculty members briefed the delegation about the academic and research progress made by the university in recent years. A documentary depicting the 148-year old history of GCU was shown to the delegates.
The delegation also visited the GCU Sports Complex, Post Graduate Library, Department of Computer Science, Nazir Ahmad Music Society, Department of Zoology, and Centre for Advance Studies in Physics along with other historically significant places of the university during the one-day tour.
