KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on Saturday morning recovered the third car allegedly involved in a road incident on Sea View Road earlier in the day.
According to the police, a thorough search of the recovered black, double-cabin vehicle is underway, along with raids being conducted in PECHS, Kashmir Road, and adjoining areas.
One person was killed while another was injured in a clash which ensued following a collision between two vehicles on Sunday.
South Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Javed Akbar Riaz said that four people were on their way from Do Darya in DHA Phase 8 in a car when they reportedly hit a heavy bike from behind and sped away.
A few moments later, their car was chased down and stopped by a double-cabin vehicle, which was escorting the injured biker, and was fired upon by people from inside the pickup.
As result of the firing a youth identified as Zafar 26, was killed while another Zaib was seriously injured.
The attackers fled the scene of the crime.
The police during a raid at Khalid Bin Waleed Road arrested five culprits involved in the firing and recovered arms from their possession.
The body and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. While legal procedures against the detainees were initiated.
