ISLAMABAD: Reacting to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif’s speech in Balochistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday said that Nawaz was used to the courts and accountability commissions of his own choice.
Responding to the PML-N leader’s comments earlier, Chaudhry expressed amazement at Nawaz taunting other parties on their affiliation with dictatorship. “This day also had to come when we would hear Nawaz Sharif taunting political leaders on their ties with dictators.”
He further said, “Panama [Papers case] revealed PML-N chief’s real politics and means of income.” He added, “Who can forget the onslaught through masses belonging to the PML-N on the Supreme Court?”
Criticising PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nawaz had said that the province’s conditions had further worsened with PTI in power. “That cricketer wanted to make a new Pakistan in KP and criticised Shehbaz Sharif for making a ‘jangla’ bus in Lahore. Now he is trying to make the same bus in Peshawar and has failed to develop it in almost five years,” Nawaz had said.
Responding to the criticism directed at PTI chairman, Chaudhry said that Nawaz had only looted national treasure after his government became stable. “Nawaz should change his policy of blackmailing and face the courts,” he said, adding that the PML-N leader can still return the looted wealth and submit a pardon appeal to the nation.
The PTI leader also said that none of the political leaders in the country, apart from Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, have supported Nawaz’s save corruption movement.
